Guillaume (de Lorris)

Guillaume de Lorris was a French author from the 13th century, best known for his work on the first part of 'Le Roman de la Rose', a medieval French poem styled as an allegorical dream vision. His portion of the poem, which is believed to have been written around 1230, deals with the courtly love theme. The work was later extended by another author, Jean de Meun.
