Roger Tory Peterson

Roger Tory Peterson was an American naturalist, ornithologist, artist, and educator, known for his innovative field guides to birds. He is one of the founding inspirations for the 20th-century environmental movement. His most notable work, 'A Field Guide to the Birds', first published in 1934, is credited with helping to popularize birdwatching.
