Banine

Banine is the pen name of Umm-El-Banine Assadoulaeff, an Azerbaijani-French writer born on May 17, 1905, in Baku, Azerbaijan, and died on April 18, 1992. She is best known for her autobiographical work 'Days in the Caucasus,' which details her childhood experiences in Azerbaijan during the early 20th century, the Bolshevik Revolution, and her subsequent life in Paris, France. Banine's writings provide a unique perspective on the cultural and political upheavals of her time.
