Tierno Monenembo

Tierno Monénembo, born Thierno Saïdou Diallo, is a Guinean author known for his novels and other literary works. He was born on July 21, 1947, in Guinea. Monénembo went into exile in 1969 due to the political situation in Guinea and has lived in various countries in West Africa and France. He is a prominent Francophone writer and has received several awards for his work, including the Grand prix littéraire d'Afrique noire and the Prix Renaudot. His novels often explore themes of African identity, exile, and the legacy of colonialism.
