J.E. Casely Hayford

J.E. Casely Hayford, also known as Joseph Ephraim Casely Hayford or Ekra-Agiman, was a Ghanaian author, lawyer, and politician who lived from 1866 to 1930. He was an influential advocate for self-government and African nationalism in the British colony of the Gold Coast (modern-day Ghana). Casely Hayford is best known for his 1911 novel 'Ethiopia Unbound: Studies in Race Emancipation,' which is considered a seminal work in African literature and an important contribution to Pan-Africanist thought.
