Nicholas Blake

Cecil Day-Lewis, who wrote under the pen name Nicholas Blake, was a British poet and novelist. He is known for his detective novels featuring the character Nigel Strangeways. Day-Lewis also served as the Poet Laureate of the United Kingdom from 1968 until his death in 1972.
