J. J. Marric

J. J. Marric was a pseudonym used by British author John Creasey (1908–1973). Creasey was a prolific writer, having written over 600 novels in various genres. Under the name J. J. Marric, he is best known for his series of police procedural novels featuring the character Commander George Gideon of Scotland Yard. The Gideon series was popular and influential, helping to establish many of the tropes and characteristics of the British police procedural genre.
