Mr. Topsy Turvy by Roger Hargreaves

A quirky visitor who does everything the wrong way round—speaking in muddled sentences, wearing things the wrong way, and turning everyday routines upside down—arrives in town and accidentally sets off a chain of comic mix-ups in shops, on the streets, and even with signs. The townspeople try to help and restore order, but his upside-down habits prove contagious, and when he moves on, life remains just a little bit jumbled to everyone’s amused surprise.
