Asterix And Caesar's Gift by Rene Goscinny
A small Gaulish village is thrown into chaos when Caesar awards a dubious ‘gift’ that gives a scheming Roman officer a legal claim over their land; Asterix, Obelix and their friends must outwit bureaucratic tricks, con artists and brash Romans to protect their homes. The story mixes clever wordplay, satirical jabs at officialdom and slapstick brawls as the villagers use cunning and the magic potion to restore the status quo.
