Pós Capitalismo. Um Guia Para O Nosso Futuro by Paul Mason

Um Guia Para O Nosso Futuro

The book argues that advances in information technology and falling marginal costs are undermining capitalism’s economic foundations, opening a path toward a commons-based, networked economy in which automation, peer production and near-zero-cost digital goods reduce the centrality of market exchange. It examines how financialization, ecological strain and recurrent crises reveal capitalism’s structural contradictions and proposes political responses—universal basic income, shorter workweeks, public ownership of key infrastructure, cooperative forms of enterprise and progressive taxation—to manage the transition. The author stresses the change is not deterministic, insisting that social movements, democratic institutions and deliberate policy choices are required to shape a more equitable and sustainable post-capitalist future.
