On an alternate Earth where a highly intelligent, technologically advanced reptilian civilization rules much of the land and human tribes remain the hunted, tensions erupt into guerrilla resistance, fraught diplomacy and cultural exchange; as a coming climatic winter tightens the struggle for food and territory, characters on both sides confront brutal choices about survival, adaptation and whether coexistence is possible as their world is remade.
