A scabrous farce set in a small South African town during the apartheid era in which self-important police officers, local dignitaries and moral crusaders overreact to a perceived scandal, their attempts to enforce order and respectability unraveling into a succession of absurd mistakes, farcical confrontations and ironic reversals that expose the pettiness, hypocrisy and cruelty of the system they defend.
