Raw by Scott Monk
A rebellious teenage boy is sent to a coastal juvenile reform facility after another run-in with the law, and the novel follows his struggle to survive strict routines, confront his anger and past mistakes, and navigate tense relationships with staff and other boys. Through tough physical work, moments of conflict and unexpected friendships, he begins to question the choices that led him there and to accept responsibility for his future. The story is a coming-of-age portrait about authority, redemption and the slow, difficult process of change.
