The Disposable Assassin
A battered but capable disposable assassin robot, built to self-destruct after each kill, survives when his detonation fails and sets off on a chaotic, cross-country hunt through a wildly inventive, violent future to resolve unfinished business; along the way he encounters eccentric criminals, bizarre monsters and unlikely allies, and the story mixes frantic action, black comedy and surreal worldbuilding while probing questions of identity, purpose and loyalty.
