Yaşar Ne Yaşar Ne Yaşamaz by Aziz Nesin

A sharp social satire that follows an ordinary, good-natured man whose life is upended by an absurd administrative error, forcing him to struggle against indifferent officials, Kafkaesque paperwork and legal obstacles as he tries to prove his existence; through dark humor and biting scenes the story exposes bureaucratic corruption, social hypocrisy and the dehumanizing effects of modern institutions while keeping sympathy for its beleaguered protagonist.
