Remote Control by Andy McNab
After a mission is terminated in Washington, British Intelligence agent Nick Stone visits a colleague and finds the family slaughtered, with only seven-year-old Kelly Brown surviving. Stone seizes Kelly and flees as anonymous assassins pursue them. The chase runs from Washington to Florida and then England as Stone uncovers a global conspiracy linking politics, money, and terrorism and realizes he and the child cannot trust anyone.
