Disposable Futures by Henry A. Giroux

A trenchant critique arguing that neoliberal market logic, media spectacle, and the militarization of culture have combined to commodify young people, normalize violence, erode public institutions, and close off democratic possibilities; through analyses of entertainment, politics, and education it shows how consumerism and corporate power manufacture consent and render lives expendable, and it calls for critical pedagogy, civic resistance, and a reclaimed public sphere to recover hope, democratic imagination, and social justice.
