The Maiden in the Tower

A couple trades for a gardener’s rampion and must give up their newborn, who is raised by a sorceress in a tower with no door; as she grows, her hair becomes so long that the sorceress and later a prince climb it to reach her. The prince and the girl fall in love, but when the sorceress discovers them she cuts the girl’s hair and casts her out and the prince is blinded in a fall; years later, after wandering, the blind prince is reunited with his beloved and their children, and her tears restore his sight, reuniting the family.
