The Three Billy Goats Gruff by Paul Galdone

In this classic tale, three billy goats named Gruff need to cross a bridge to reach a lush meadow on the other side, but a fearsome troll blocks their path, threatening to eat anyone who tries to pass. The smallest goat cleverly persuades the troll to wait for his bigger brother, and the middle goat does the same, promising an even larger meal with the biggest goat. When the largest billy goat finally crosses, he confronts the troll and uses his strength to defeat him, allowing all three goats to safely enjoy the rich pastures beyond the bridge.
