The Manitou by Graham Masterton
In this horror novel, a woman named Karen Tandy discovers a mysterious lump growing on her neck, which is revealed to be the reincarnation of a powerful Native American shaman, or Manitou, named Misquamacus. As the growth develops, it becomes clear that Misquamacus seeks revenge against the modern world for the injustices suffered by his people. Desperate to save Karen and stop the shaman's malevolent plans, her boyfriend, Harry Erskine, enlists the help of a modern-day medicine man, Singing Rock. Together, they confront supernatural forces in a battle that blends ancient Native American mysticism with contemporary horror.
