Gremlins by George Gipe
In this novel, a young man named Billy receives an unusual pet called a Mogwai as a Christmas gift, accompanied by strict care instructions: avoid bright light, don't get it wet, and never feed it after midnight. When these rules are inadvertently broken, the Mogwai spawns mischievous and malevolent creatures known as Gremlins, which wreak havoc on the small town of Kingston Falls. As chaos ensues, Billy, along with his girlfriend Kate, must find a way to stop the Gremlins and restore order before the town is completely overrun. The story blends elements of horror and comedy, exploring themes of responsibility and the unforeseen consequences of ignoring rules.
