The Veldt by Ray Bradbury
In a futuristic world where technology caters to every human need, a family lives in a fully automated house that includes a virtual reality nursery capable of creating lifelike environments. The children become obsessed with a simulation of the African veldt, complete with prowling lions, which begins to manifest their subconscious desires. As the parents grow concerned about the nursery's influence, they attempt to regain control, only to discover the chilling consequences of their children's dependency on technology and the blurred lines between reality and illusion.
