What You Pawn I Will Redeem by Sherman Alexie
A homeless Spokane Indian man embarks on a quest to reclaim his grandmother's stolen regalia from a pawnshop in Seattle. Given 24 hours to raise $999, he navigates the city's streets, encountering a series of poignant and humorous interactions with fellow Native Americans and other colorful characters.
