A young girl, eager for a pet, is granted permission by her mother to have one as long as it doesn't require walking, bathing, or feeding. After some research, she decides on a sloth, which she names Sparky. Despite her initial excitement, she soon discovers that Sparky's laid-back nature and lack of energy present unique challenges.
