Judith Wright

Judith Wright was a renowned Australian poet, environmentalist, and campaigner for Aboriginal land rights. Born on May 31, 1915, in Armidale, New South Wales, she published her first book of poetry, 'The Moving Image', in 1946. Wright's work is celebrated for its keen observation of the natural world and its lyrical intensity, often reflecting her deep concern for the environment and social justice. She passed away on June 25, 2000.
