The Picture Of Dorian Gray by Ian Edginton
A handsome young man, celebrated for his beauty, becomes obsessed with eternal youth when a painted portrait of him begins to show the physical consequences of age and sin while he remains outwardly unchanged; encouraged by a cynical friend, he pursues a life of pleasure and moral excess, and as he sinks deeper into vice the portrait grows more grotesque, reflecting his inner corruption until his attempts to hide and escape his culpability lead to violence and a tragic, self-destructive reckoning.
