薫る花は凛と咲く 2 by Saka Mikami
Two neighboring high schools sit side by side: the low-ranking boys' Chidori High and the prestigious Kikyō girls' school, where Tsumugi Rintaro and Waguri Kaoruko attend respectively. Rintaro is stern and quiet and feared by others, while Kaoruko approaches him directly, initially puzzling him and prompting him to open up gradually. Their bond deepens even as the schools remain divided, and Kaoruko's friend Subaru Hoshina, who resents Chidori, confronts Rintaro.
